Red Baron - Red Onion Sets - 500g - Supplied Loose 

Red Baron is an outstanding red onion variety that produces medium sized onions. It has a dark red colour and a juicy sweet flavour. It is an excellent cropper with good storage properties. Great in salads and many dishes.

We advise that you unpack your sets when delivered and spread out in a light cool place until until you are ready to plant.

500g is approx 60-70 large sets. Increase quantity in shopping basket as required         

eg 2 x 500g is approx 120-140 large sets etc. ​​

Onion Sets Growing Tips

• Plant - March-May
• Harvest - August-September
• Plant in well drained soil in full sun that has been prepared a few weeks in advance by incorporating compost/manure/fertiliser. Do not plant in freshly manured soil.
• Plant with the tips just protruding above the soil with 10cm between each set and 30cm between each row.
